Pupils who wish to be considered for this post undertake a specific task at the start of the autumn term eg design a poster.

1 from each class is chosen by their peers once a year

Garden Monitor

1 pupil chosen from each year group by Vice Principal

Report any problems in the garden and playground areas

Form part of a watering rota in warm weather

Attend key planting and tending sessions

Literacy Coordinator asks pupils to undertake a specific task at the start of the autumn term eg a book review

 

2 monitors from each key stage  are allocated for a term

Report any problems in the Library areas;

Tidy the books;

Maintain a suggestions book and to report feedback to the Literacy Coordinator;

Encourage pupil and staff book reviews;

Attend Library meetings as called by the Literacy Coordinator;

Make suggestions to improve the Library resources and facilities;

To support the children in clearing their plates and cups

To monitor the school doors so pupils travel around the school safely

 

Playground Friends

To support the children with their behaviour in the playground

To ensure that all children have somebody to play with

To support in solving small playground disputes
